Field Trip Schedule for 2010
Sioux Falls Bird Club - Field Trips & Activity Schedule 2010
All
Saturday field trips for 2010 will leave from the Outdoor Campus parking lot, 4500 S. Oxbow Avenue, unless noted. (Note the
building may not be open early enough for facilities to be available prior to our departure, but there are outdoor toilets
available). The Outdoor Campus is located 1/2 mile east of the 49th and Louise Avenue intersection, turn south in front of
the Sanford Wellness Center from 49th onto Oxbow. Go one block south; turn east into the entrance to Sertoma Park and Outdoor
Campus. The park is also accessible from 57th Street. Turn north on Oxbow. It is customary to car pool on field trips and
traditional that riders give drivers a few dollars at the end of the field trip to help with gas and perhaps a car wash. Remember
to bring binoculars and a field guide, if you have one. A leader will generally bring a scope, but bring yours too, if desired.
Wear sturdy footwear and dress warmly as needed. Bring a friend. Anyone interested in birds is welcome. (Some field trips
may extend past the noontime if, birding is good, but a car will always return by noon if needed by anyone in the group).
