The Sioux Falls Bird Club encourages all members to take part in field trips and meetings. Feel free to bring a visiting birder or prospective member.

All Saturday field trips  will leave from the Outdoor Campus parking lot at 4500 S. Oxbow Avenue. (Note the building may not be open early enough for the bathrooms to be available prior to our departure)
Directions: 1/2 mile east of the 49th Street and Louise Avenue intersection Turn south in front of the Sioux Valley Wellness Center from 49th into Oxbow. Go one block, turn east two blocks. The Outdoor Campus is on the right. The Campus is also accessible from 57th Street. Turn north at Oxbow, then right into OC.
It is customary to car pool on field trips and traditional that riders give drivers a few dollars at the end of trip to help with gas. Remember to bring binoculars and a field guide, if you have one. We usually have someone with a spotting scope. Bring yours if you wish. Dress for the weather. Walking is often part of the trip. Some field trips will go longer than noon, especially if the birding is good, but a car will be availble to take those back who wish to be done at noon.
